Mr. Popularity 
Philip Kiriakis is the son of Kate Roberts and Victor Kiriakis. Philip spent most of his childhood outside of Salem but has returned to be spoiled by both Vivian and Kate. Philip developed a gambling problem and was forced to pay off his family's debts. One day, he returned home late and severely beaten by a debt collector. Victor forced Philip to work as an intern at Henderson's to pay off his debt.
Philip and his best friend Shawn Brady used to fight over Belle Black until Chloe Wesley came and caught Philip's attention. At first, Philip made fun of her behaviour and the way she dressed, but in time he began to fall for her. Philip's trouble making friend, Jason Welles was responsible for the bet which was also cause of Philip and Chloe's relationship. The loser, Philip had to take Chloe to the Last Blast which took place just last year. The more time they spent together Philip began to fall in love with Chloe. He told her how he felt on Bo and Hope's wedding (Shawn's parents). Philip and Chloe's relationship was meaningful until a sectet ruined it temporarly.
Kate hired a hitman to kill Victor so she would become president of Titan, a major company and invest all of his money which Victor left to Kate in his Will. Victor eventually found out what Kate was up to and decided to get revenge. When the shots rang at Princess Greta's Coronation, Victor was shot twice, once in the chest and again in the back. He was rushed out by Nicole Walker and it was announced to everyone that Victor was dead. Little did Kate and everyone else know that Victor had been wearing a bullet proof vest and was alive and well, ready to make Kate pay!!!
Philip was forced to keep Victor's secret from everyone, including Chloe, until one night she discovered it whe they were just about to make love. In a fit rage Chloe accused Philip of Rape! In the end he was proven innocent. A relieved Philip took an emotionally upset Chloe away from her parents in an attempt to take in Chloe, but when they arrived at the mansion it was on fire and eventually burned to the ground, leaving his half brother, Lucas in a coma!
As part of Victor's plan Kate was fired from Titan and was forced to start her life over from scratch. She worked in a diner for a while until Philip compromised with his dad which entitled Kate to a better life.
Philip and Chloe's relationship just recently came to an end when she was exposed at the dance by Jan and Mimi. Philip instantly accused Chloe of doing this and ran out of the gym feeling completely humiliated. Later the two came face to face and Philip insulted her and called her hurtful names. When Philip found out what really happened he apologized to Chloe, but she didn't accpet because when his trust was put to the test he failed miserably. Will Philip and Chloe find their way back to each other or is the really the end? 
Jay Kenneth Johnson was born in Springfield, Missouri on February 24th. While growing up, Jay knew he wanted to be an actor or an athlete. After he graduated from highschool, Jay realized that his first love was acting. He attended college at Southwest Missouri and majored in business and theatres.
One day, while watching VHI: Before They Were Stars, Jay realized that this is what he definitly wanted to do. He took a risk and gave it a shot! Jay also modeled and appeared in a few commercials. He also appeared on The Young and The Restless before landing the role of Philip Kiriakis.
In his spare time, Jay enjoys reading, roller-blading, going to the beach and playing sports. Jay loves music and would someday like to start his own band!
